Leatherface is a movie bereft of original ideas. The story, concept, and even some camera angles are all reminiscent of other movies. It comes off as a movie trying really hard to be an exploitation film but with no discernable direction. None of the characters are interesting so investment into this story is practically impossible. It comes off as a sleazy attempt to cash in on a franchise. The original The
was so much more interesting and scary without the gore. This is a forgettable movie which only horror buffs would care to see as background noise.
