Mom’s Got a Date with a Vampire is a harmless Disney Channel Original Movie. It takes elements from Fright Night and The Lost Boys and makes it for kids. It’s cheesy and the script is fine for what it is. It isn’t going to win awards. Still, people gotta pay mortgages so I get why it exists. At least it doesn’t completely insult the intelligence of the audience. The movie has some bizarre edits. The acting is serviceable even with the main child channeling his inner Macaulay Culkin.
