Thoughts on A Quiet Place
A Quiet Place is a good movie that feels like a Twilight Zone episode. The acting is great and the story is fine. Some of the narrative is surrounded with Chekhov’s guns which make it a bit predictable. The monsters are mysterious and creepy but I kept wondering how they took over the world so easily. They can hear really well until the script needs then not to do so. Conceptually, it seems clever but it still has holes in execution . It really didn’t make much sense that the workd was ruined by these creatures. It has more depth than your average monster movie. It doesn’t treat the audience like it’s stupid, but it also doesn’t take chances. It’s a worthwhile movie that is worth seeing but just don’t have high expectations.
