Thoughts on Insidious: The Red Door

 Insidious: The Red Door is the fifth movie in the Insidious franchise. The movie is fine. For a pg-13 thriller, it has some atmospheric shots and plenty of jumpscares. This novie is a servicable sequel that at least somewhat concludes the Patrick Wilson story, albeit with a mediocre third-act. 

Thoughts on Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is the latest of the Indiana Jones franchise. The action, story, and acting are all very good. It’s certainly better than the last entry and has a nice charm to it. If you like other Indy movies, you will like this one.

 The Barbie Movie is a remarkable movie. The set and costumes are great. The script is fresh and relevant to modern topics. The acting is also great. It is a very clever movie that is worth checking out.

Thoughts on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mahem

 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is the latest animated TMNT property. The animation is really cool and stylistic. The story is sweet and a really freah take on the turtles. It was a really fun watch. I recommend it to anyone who liked or like the TMNT gang.

Thoughts on Cobweb

 Cobweb is a horror movie that is visually appealing as well as tense. The first two acts are well-acted and showcases some very compelling camera shots. The movie takes a detour to goofy town at the third act. Still, streaming is the way to go to check this movie out.

Thoughts on Elemental

 Elemental is a Disney/Pixar movie about anthropomorphic elementals. It is cute and a sweet love story. It may be doomed to be forgotten. Which is sad. It’s worth checking out, though the material sometimes seems more advanced for young minds like Soul. 

Thoughts on Uncle Peckerhead

 Uncle Peckerhead is a horror comedy that is really clever despite the title. The characters are charming. The acting is good and the overall story and direction made for an enjoyable viewing. If horror comedies are your thing, check it out.

Thoughts on The Flash

 The Flash is a movie that seems like a better idea on paper then in practicality. Loads of fan service. Loads of CG characters that create an massive uncanny valley that made me feel like I was watching a cartoon. It isn’t the worst thing, but it is absolutely suffers from some lame attempts at humor and phoned in heroics. Streaming is the only way to watch this without feeling ripped off.

Thoughts on The Pope’s Exorcist

 The Pope’s Exorcist is a unoriginal, piece of schlock. The movie has no original element. The movie is another copy of The Exorcist.  It’s very existence is so pointless, when it was done so much better. It even ended with sequel bait, as if this movie is worthy of a cinematic universe. Don’t waste your time.

Thoughts on Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3

 Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3 is the third movie centered solely around the Guardians. The actors still bring their A-game and make the characters feel at home i  this strange cosmic setting . The script is good and the threat seems realistically scary. It is a great way to send off this chapter of the Guardians of the Galaxy for the MCU. 

Thoughts on Evil Dead Rise

 Evil Dead Rise is the latest of the Evil Dead franchise. It is different from the others in that it takes place in an apartment in L.A. and there are children. It lacks a lot of charm of even the 2013 movie. It was fine at best and laughable at worst. All in all, worth a streaming watch.

Thoughts on The Super Mario Bros. Movie

 The Super Mario Bros. Movie is an animated movie based on the popular video game character. The movie is well-made and entertaining. It is a pretty fun movie that has lots of easter eggs for dedicated fans. It is absolutely a mist watch for any Mario fan.

Thoughts on Venom

 Venom is nothing spectacular. The acting is fine. The story is mediocre but not without charm. The movie felt cliched at times but it also didn’t bore me or fill me with silent rage. It was an absolutely fine movie that was worth it to watch streaming.

Thoughts on Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves

 Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is a charming movie. The movie feels genuine in its love of the D&D world.  The characters have a sweet chemistry which is good. The story itself is fairly basic, however, the overall charm of the characters and the easter eggs made for an entertaining watch. Check it out if you enjoy quirky actiom in a fantasy realm. If you enjoy D&D, it is a must see.

Thoughts on Ant-man And Wasp: Quantumania

 Ant-man and Wasp: Quantumania is the third Ant-man movie. As a wholenitnis fine but forgettable. It is genuinely hard to care about the MCU at this point. It was a fine movie to watch on streaming, but I am glad I didn’t pay theater prices. It’s just a little disappointing.

Thoughts on The Menu

 The Menu is a dark comedy that is very good. The acting is fantastic. The cinematography is stunning. While there are some violent moments, the script elevates the subject matter through witty satire. It’s definitely worth watching if you enjoy a dark comedy or cooking shows.
