Thoughts on The Grinch

The Grinch is one of the better imaginings of the beloved Suess stories. The characters and the colorful cgi really make this fun. The humor is cute and Looney Tunes like in its nature. It is good spirited and sweet. I do sort of wish that movies would stop giving the Grinch a motivation. The story says “no one quite knows the reason” after telling us the cinematic origin of the Grinch’s holiday hatred. Still, it’s a cute movie that will fill the void nicely if you want a fun movie or dislike the Ron Howard version.

Thoughts on The Incredibles 2

The Incredibles 2 is a fun action movie and amazing Pixar addition. The movie feels like an animated Bond movie and the animation has improved at great deal. My only complaint is that the villains motivation was very weak. Still, this movie was a lot of fun. Check it out if you enjoyed the first or if you want a very stylized and relevant animated action flick.
